Victor O. Rodriguez died on October 5, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 3, 1934, in Refugio, Texas, the son of Pablo and Herminia Ozuna Rodriguez, and later adopted by Jesus and Herminia Mendoza. Victor joined the US Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. After the war, he married Rosa Rosales Rodriguez. He worked as a coal miner in Wyoming before settling in Sinton, Texas, where he retired as a supervisor from H&K Construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Rosa, infant son Joey Rodriguez, brothers Rey Rodriguez and Christopher Rodriguez, and grandson Jonathan Rodriguez. He is survived by brother Joe and Virginia Ozuna of San Antonio, Texas and sister Minnie Espinosa of Sinton, Texas, sons Victor and Jennifer Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cookie Ellis Rodriguez of Victoria, Texas, Rick and Hope Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, Eddie and Suzy Rodriguez of Sinton, Texas, Jolly and Skip Rogers of Sheridan, Wyoming, Rosanna and Leo Rodriguez of Portland, Texas, Larry Rodriguez of Sinton, Texas, and Jerry Rodriguez of Sinton, Texas. Victor is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3 PM to 9 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton with full military honors.
