Sara Lee Fernandez passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024.  Sara was born on June 27, 1968 in McAllen, Texas to Leonel and Raphaela Fernandez.  After moving to Corpus Christi in 1971, she attended Tuloso-Midway High School graduating in 1985.  Following her passion for journalism, she joined the staff at the Corpus Christi Caller where she worked for 15 years.  Sara cherished her close friends and family whom she loved dearly. Sara is the youngest of six children. Her siblings are Alma Fernandez, Grace (Steven) Yoakum, Linda (Brian) Falls, Leonel Fernandez, Jr. and 

Elizabeth (Raymond Cavazos. She is preceded in death by her beloved aunt Anita Villarreal. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bayside, Texas.
