Rene Lopez Garza, Jr., 36, loving son, father, brother, and friend passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Rene had a passion for collecting Air Jordan's tennis shoes and had been employed at Windbrook Electric as an electrician for 19 years, He is survived by his loving family, his father, Rene (Star) Garza, Sr. of Corpus Christi; his mother, Veronica Lopez of Odem; his wife, Alyssa Marie Garza of Sinton; his children, Julius Michael Garza, Adalyn Renae Garza, Jordan James Garza, Jayce Bentley Garza, Aria Marie Garza, Jarvis Mathew Garza, and Davon Santellana; his brothers, Ryan Garza of Odem, Rony Garza of Sinton, and Javier Lopez of Odem and his sister, Layla Star Garza of Corpus Christi; his paternal grandparents, Hector and Ester Garza; his maternal grandparents, Faustino Lopez and the late Lile Lira Lopez; and his in-laws, Luis and Isabel Sanchez.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2 PM to 9 PM with a rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton with Father Yul Ibay as celebrant. Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton.
