Rene B. Dominguez, age 71, passed away peacefully in his home on April 23, 2024.  Rene was born June 21, 1952 in Edroy, Texas.  He spent the majority of his life in Pasadena, Texas.  Rene was a beloved husband of 50 years, as well as a father, brother and grandfather.  He worked hard until he retired and enjoyed spending his time with his family; hanging out in his garage with his two dogs, Buddy and Killer. Everyone that knew him knew he was a jokester and always had a beer in his hand.  He will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him.  He is preceded in death by his daughter: Ofelia Dominguez Ayala, both his parents: Carlos and Ofilia Dominguez and his brother: Carlos Dominguez JR.  He is survived by his wife: Mary Jane Dominguez; daughters: Salina (Gabriel) Flores, Valerie Dominguez and Marissa Dominguez; his son in laws: Adrian Ayala and Chris Rangel; his grandchildren: Anthony, Alexis and Gabriella Flores, Christopher Ayala and Dominic Hubbard; and his brothers: Albert and Katie Dominguez, Danny and Belia Dominguez, Jamie Dominguez and Yolanda, Benjamin and Esmeralda Dominguez; and his sister Noelia and the late Jesse Lopez along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 2 pm to 9 pm at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home with a holy rosary starting at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Edroy with the interment immediately following at Edroy Cemetery in Edroy.
