​Margarita (Mage) Navarro Torres passed peacefully on January 1, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton, worked at Haggars, and owned and operated Torres Grocery store for many years. Margarita is survived by her three sisters, Eugenia Garcia of McAllen, Tx, Aurora Tijerina (Santos), and Antonia Esquivel from Sinton, Tx. She is also survived by many of her nephews and nieces, including many great nephews and great nieces. She will be missed by all who knew her. Margarita is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Esther Torres, her siblings Paula Perez, Cosme Torres, Lina Serrano, Conrado Torres, and Angelita Martinez. Visitation will be held on Friday January 5, 2024, at Ritchea- Gonzales Funeral Home from 2pm - 9pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on January 6, 2024, at 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton, Tx.
