Jose Guadalupe Gomez, 93, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Jose had been employed as a truck driver, a job he enjoyed and loved. His favorite past time was collecting caps and toy trucks. He will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Crispin and Manuela Ramirez Gomez, his brother, Martin Gomez, his daughters, Sandra Gomez and Maria Elena Gomez and his son, Crispin Gomez. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Esmeralda Rodriguez Gomez of Odem, his sons, Juan Ramon Gomez of San Antonio, Justin Gomez of Corpus Christi and Lupito Gomez of Houston, his daughters, Sandra Zamora and Rosie Gomez of Houston, his sister-in-law, Irma Rodriguez of Sinton, his granddaughters, Belinda Gomez and Aleric Gomez, numerous great grandchildren, his nephews, Phillip Rangel and Justin De Leon and his cousin, Jose Ramirez of Corpus Christi. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 3 PM to 9 PM with a holy rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Odem with Father George as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Odem.
