Jose Angel "Pinker" Gomez Jr., age 51, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 at River Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jose was born on March 28, 1973, in Sinton, Texas to the late Jose Angel Gomez, Sr. and Regina Gomez. Jose was a loving son, brother and uncle. Jose loved selling arts and crafts and he loved gambling. He is survived by his loving family, his mother, Regina Gomez of Odem, his three sisters, Jo Ann (Joe)  Chapa of Odem, Texas, Debbie (Ernesto) Casas of Lake Jackson, Texas and Dorothy (Josh) Holden of Mobile, Alabama, six nephews, Justin (Heather) Chapa, Jonathan (Haidee) Chapa, Joseph (Lucie) Chapa of Odem, Texas, Jacob Chapa, James Chapa of Houston, Texas and Jaxen Holden of Mobile, Alabama, five nieces, Elisa, Eliana and Ella Casas of Lake Jackson, Juliana Olivares of Abilene, Texas and Jovie Holden of Mobile, Alabama, two great nieces, Alayna and Addie Chapa and one great nephew, Jameson Chapa all of Odem. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 2 PM to 9 PM with a holy rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, July 5, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Odem with Father George as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Odem. Pallbearers will be Justin Chapa, Jonathan Chapa, Joseph Chapa, Jacob Chapa, James Chapa and Jose Chapa.
