In Loving Memory of Jose Florentino Altamirano Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Joe Altamirano Jr, who left us unexpectedly on his birthday, October 17, 2024. He was 47 years old.

Joe was a remarkable individual, known for infectious laughter, kindness, and unwavering support for those he loved. He touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Born on October 17, 1977 in Taft, Texas, Joe grew up with a passion for helping where his hands were useful and always sharing a joke that made others laugh. He has a unique ability to bring laughter to every situation, bringing warmth and humor to others even when his situation(s) may have looked dim. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

He is survived by his mom, Josephine Herrera Altamirano; and his dad, Jose Florentino Altamirano Sr.; his sisters, Lorie Orta, Crystal Cardenas, and Veronica Altamirano; his brothers, Issac Altamirano and Nick Altamirano; his children, Jose Altamirano III, Tayler Blum, Josette Altamirano, Richard Altamirano, and JoRey Altamirano; and his girlfriend, Alyssia Lucio; along with a host of friends who cherished him dearly.

A celebration of his life will be held on October 29, 2024 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, with visitation occurring from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. We invite all who knew and loved Joe to join us in honoring his memory.

Though our hearts ache with his loss, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the love that will forever bind us.

Rest in peace, dear brother. You will be missed more than words can express.
