Israel Lopez, 82, loving father, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. Israel loved going out to eat, watching TV but most of all he loved his family and his dog. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Elvira Lopez, his son, Ernest Lopez, his grandson, Joseph David Hernandez, his brothers, Rudy Lopez, Aucencio Lopez, Angel Lopez, and Pedro Lopez and his sister, Susie Hernandez. He is survived by his daughters, Elsa Valdez of Corpus  Christi and  Elvira Hernandez of Taft, his brother, Raymond Lopez, his sisters, Eloisa Lopez, Mary Alice Guerrero, Agapita Lopez, Martina Lopez, Beatrice Garcia, Nieves Tijerina, Juanita Cortez. Jacinta Garcia  and Berta Alaniz. A holy mass will be celebrated from 12 PM to 1 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Taft on Saturday, October 5, 2024. A reception will be held following the mass at the Kivi Hunt in Taft from 1 PM to 4 PM.
