Ilma Andrews Hill, 74, of Taft, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2024 in Portland, Texas.  She was born in Taft, Texas on November 24, 1950 to the late Rafael H. Martinez and Lidia Medina Martinez.  A 1969 graduate of Sinton High School, she attended Del Mar college and was the Director at Head Start in Sinton from 2003-2008.  Her greatest joys were her friends, her lifelong side kick Karen Pressly, gardening, and shopping. She is preceded in death by Rafael and Lidia Martinez and brother, Raul Martinez.  Survivors include her son, James Michael Andrews of Peyton, Colorado; two sisters, Irene (David) Marler of Victoria, Texas; Ida (James) Butler of Sinton, Texas; three brothers, Ramiro (Pam) Martinez of Springdale, Arkansas; Richard (Emily) Martinez of Smithville, Texas; and Rafael Martinez, Jr. of Taft, Texas.  The visitation and Memorial prayer service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11 AM to 1 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home.
