Guadalupe Naranjo, Sr.

Guadalupe Naranjo Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 83 in the very early morning of February 1st, 2024 in his home in Odem, Texas.

Guadalupe was the son of the late Natividad & Laurencia Naranjo and is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Maria Naranjo who he fulfilled a life of marriage with for 60 years.  He is also survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter, David and Sonya Naranjo, Guadalupe Jr. and Lydia Naranjo, Robert and Ronni Naranjo, Linda and Ian MacDonald, Jerry Naranjo and Blanca Morin, Jason and Melissa Naranjo, and his late son Daniel Naranjo.

The journey in life that Guadalupe had as a humble, and friendly man was filled with many stories that he loved to talk about with anyone he met or who just gave him a minute which would last till eternity if you’d let him.  Although the rollercoaster of life had many bumps, he and his wife were able to push throughout the struggles that life brings and provided a living to their seven children as they were growing up along with the blessing of eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Guadalupe may have not had all the material things in the world that rich people have, but he had a life with God by his side and a wife who made him the richest man in the world.

Services will be held at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home beginning Monday, February 5th, 2024 at 2:00 pm for the viewing and the Holy Rosary starting at 7:00 pm.  On Tuesday, Holy Mass will be held at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton followed with the burial at San Pedro Cemetery in Odem.
