Raymund Deases Martinez Jr. peacefully passed away at home on February 15th, 2025.  He went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with sickness at the age of 78 years old.  Born in Nueces County on May 6th , 1946.  He reunites in heaven with his parents, Ramon Martinez and Consuelo Deases Martinez; his brothers, Juan Martinez and Guadalupe Martinez; and his son, Rolando Martinez.  Ramon was a father to Raymond Jr, Janie, Rolando, and Rogelio Martinez. His siblings are Joe Deases Martinez and Mary Ann Garcia.  He was an uncle to six nephews and four nieces, and a great-uncle as well, including grandparent hood.

Ramon lived in Sinton for most part of his life and worked in various jobs.  He enjoyed watching and talking about sports with his brother Joe & family, whether it was football or baseball.  He was knowledgeable in the history of sports and music as well.  Always telling stories about his past growing up, precisely dated to the day they occurred including the time and what the weather like for that day. He was a giant of a man, who mostly lived a life on his own.  He was a man who loved and a man who wanted love by his children.  We will miss him.

A special Thank you to his brother, Joe and nephew, Rudy Jr. who tended to his daily caring needs these past few years on Earth.  May he rest in peace now and he will always be in our hearts.  God bless you and we love you, Ramon.  Graveside services were held at 10 a.m Friday, February 28, 2025 at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton.
