Carolina G. Lopez, 83, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Carolina was a great cook who loved everybody. She had been employed as a CNA for many years and fought a long battle with diabetes. She is preceded in death by her sons, Johnny Joe Pena and Alfred Pena, her grandson, Calobe Perez, her sisters, Maria Munoz and Amelia Alafa and her brother, Ricardo Galindo. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, David Lopez of Sinton, her sons, Roque (Sarah) Pena of Ingleside, Robert (Doris) Pena of California and Anthony Lopez of Odem, her daughters, Eloisa Hoy and Linda Pena of Portland and Stephanie (Ruben) Pena of Sinton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 2 PM to 9 PM with a holy rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton with Father Glen Mullan as celebrant. Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton. Serving as pallbearers will be Xavier Pena, Joseph Pena, Anthony Lopez, Aaron Pena, Eric Pena and Jaime Pena.
